To my little children

A Commentary on 1 John.

This theme of Christian assurance for John’s little children is one of the crucial notes in this Epistle which has aroused surprisingly little echo among expositors. Here, in the present work it is given the greater focus it requires. This Epistle has a truly pastoral emphasis. It was sent by John to his little children in the apostolic communities, a message to remove fear, to reassure them by repeatedly highlighting the proofs of life which demonstrated those who were “of God” from those who were being guided by the spirit of antichrist. They are encouraged to have confidence for the day of judgment, confident that God is their Father, confident that they can approach him in prayer.

Hallelujah! What a Saviour.

Price £24.99

Hallelujah, what a Saviour! is a benediction, an ascription of praise to Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation the whole of Scripture calls us to worship.

Hallelujah, what a Saviour! expounds a range of passages, all of which focus upon the Saviour’s person and work from the first promise of his coming in Genesis 3 through the Old Testament until his final exaltation and glorification at God’s right hand in the New Testament.

These themes are set out as fifty-two Study passages, with added questions for refection, discussion or response to the Lord. The Studies are divided into three major sections;

The Saviour Promised; The Saviour Revealed; The Saviour Known.
